Randell Douglas Brown, “Randy”, died Sept. 13, 2018, of a heart attack at his home in North Las Vegas.

He was born July 18, 1948, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Orville and Jean Brown. His family moved to Heber City, in 1962. He graduated from Wasatch High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Marines. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during his tour of duty in Vietnam. He was very proud of his service and was always a Marine. He lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, and worked for the Nevada Gaming Control Board as an undercover agent, and later at various casinos; the Mirage, Treasure Island, the Frontier and the Golden Nugget where he was Surveillance Director until 2008, when he retired. Throughout his career, Randy reached out and assisted the people around him; bringing out the best in them and their professional development. He loved to ride all types of motorcycles on the street and in the desert. He and his motorcycling friends had many great rides. He played poker with his friends and could make you laugh when you least expected it. He has many friends who will love and miss him.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Howard, (Butte, MT), two nieces, and several great-nieces and nephews. Date for memorial service to be announced.
