Outdoor yoga took on a fun new twist this weekend with the introduction of Goat Yoga to Heber Valley.

The three day event was organized by 2 Farm Boys Goat Milk Soap Company, owned by Colleen and JR Cummings, and was sold out nearly every session. Eight sessions were offered during the event.

The instructor, Shauna Horton, Colleen’s sister came all the way from Santa Cruz, Calif., after she and Colleen hatched the idea of bringing Goat Yoga to the valley.

Wyatt and Kash, JR and Colleen’s sons (the 2 farm boys of the company’s name), helped wrangle the four legged yoga participants.

The company’s mission is to help educate people about agriculture and provide agricultural experiences. The company has about 40 goats that produce the milk for the soap products. Six goats are currently on loan to Zermatt Resort where guests can pet and feed them.

Their soap is available at Lee’s Market and at various farmer’s markets in the area.

The Cummings’ say they will host another Goat Yoga event in the fall if there is enough interest by the public.
