On Sept. 26, 2013, our beautiful blue-eyed friend, sister, aunt, daughter, mother, grandmother, and fiancé, Jennifer “Jenny” Sabin Williams, was set free from her pain and sorrows. Jenny was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Lymphoma in February of this year, and received a Bone Marrow Transplant on May 15, 2013. Facing complications without measure, she fought until the very end with her signature wit and wisdom, finding ways to communicate and express her love to her family and friends throughout her last days.

Jenny was the sixth of seven children born to Vernetta Jones and Ray Edmund (Nancy) Sabin in LaMesa, CA, on Sept. 27, 1958. After the divorce of her parents, Jenny was also lovingly raised by her stepfather, Arlon Lowe Van Orden. From her earliest years she had a love of the water and was a State Champion swimmer at Granite Hills High School in San Diego, California. She passed this love on to all of her children, teaching all of them to swim by the time they were a year old. While attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Jenny met Talangofua K. Tukuafu. They were married on April 16, 1977. Together they brought five children into the world, Torry Viliami, Jesse Tipasa (Megan), Kavamahea Leilani, Eva Losaline and Jeffrey Sungalu. Later divorced, Jenny met her jovial chef and woodcarver, Larry Williams in Dayton, Ohio. They were married on March 29, 2001. With the greatest care and tenderness, Jenny cared for him until his death in October 2001. Jenny returned to Heber City, in January 2004 and met the love of her life and fiancé, Russell Morgan.

Together they spent almost a decade taking every spare moment as a chance to explore the western wilderness as they camped, hunted, fished and explored all of God’s country. Jenny was a champion sportswoman and embraced every part of “roughin’ it”. Jenny also welcomed Russell’s children Mitch Morgan and Jacey Bonner Black (Chris) and all of her extended Morgan/Hakala/Ingels family into her heart as her own. Together Russell and Jennifer have five adored grandchildren: Nathan Latai (8), Lily Leilani (4), Bella Rae (4), Sophia Makalita (2), and Alyssa Vaimoana (7 months).

Jennifer strongly believed in the importance of taking care of others and bettering the world around her. In her children, she instilled a duty to each other and to others. Her belief in caring for others manifested in her return to school as a mother of five children, where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and graduated with high honors and a 4.0 GPA as the president of her student association on Dec. 18, 1997. Jenny was a true healer, who dedicated her life to working as a Registered Nurse because she believed in the worth of each individual that God brought into her life.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her husband Larry; mother Vernetta; her stepfather Van, and her stepbrother Tyrone. She is survived by her fiancé Russell Morgan; her father, Ray (Nancy) Sabin; her in-laws: Dee (Tom) Ingels and Pete (Sandy) Morgan; her children: Torry, Mitch, Jesse (Megan), Jacey (Chris), Kava, Eva and Jeff; her sisters: Cindy (Gary) Beadles, Leslie (Robert) Mercado, Michelle (Dave) Straub, Joyce Doyle and Wendy (Jeff) Ervin; her brothers: Vernon (Naomi) Sabin and Lloyd (Heather) Sabin; her stepsiblings: Karen Haduch, Lisa Taylor and Lee Haduch; her grandchildren; and her dog, Peanut.

Condolences may be given at a public viewing on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., or Thursday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 11:30 a.m., with graveside services immediately following.

All services will be held at the Heber 4th Ward Building, 715 East 600 South in Heber City.
