Law enforcement arrested four individuals, including a manager at the Heber City McDonald’s restaurant, after police say they staged a robbery of McDonald’s in the afternoon of Sunday, September 8.

Police say at about 3:05 p.m., Patricia Johnson, 34, a manager at McDonald’s called the Wasatch County Dispatch Center to report what she claimed was a robbery at McDonald’s.

Police said Johnson told the Dispatch Center she was robbed as she left the restaurant to make a bank deposit. She said a man approached her and demanded the deposit money, then fled on foot.

However, as the case was investigated further, officers from the State Parks, Summit County and Wasatch County Sheriff’s Offices and Heber City Police Department found the employee apparently worked in concert with three other individuals to stage a robbery and actually perpetuate a felony theft. Also arrested in connection with the theft was Marty Marrott, 51, Peggy Rohrbach, 48, and Jaime Allred, 36.

The four suspects were charged with Theft - a 2nd degree felony and Making a False Report - a class B misdemeanor.

Officers said a substantial amount of money was stolen, however most of the money has since been recovered.
