MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the MIDWAY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Midway Community Center, located at 160 West Main Street, Midway, Utah, to consider the following items:

1. Debbie Elmer is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a for a mixed-use development on her property that will include a business (daycare) and a residence. The property is located at 65 South Center Street and is in the C-2 zone.

2. Paul Berg, agent for DPW Heber Inc., is requesting preliminary approval of phase 1 of the Saddle Creek Ranch subdivision. Phase 1 includes nine lots on 10.37 acres. The property is located at 970 South 250 West and is in the R-1-22 zone.

3. Paul Berg, agent for Probst Higley Developers LLC, is proposing a code text amendment of Midway City’s Land Use Code. The proposed amendment would allow a developer to record multiple plats in a phase of a development.

4. Berg Engineering, agent for Probst Higley Developers LLC, is requesting Final Approval for Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the Scotch Fields PUD a large-scale planned unit development. The proposal is for 48 units located on 20.97 acres. The proposal is located west of Valais and is in the RA-1-43 zone.

5. Mike Johnston, agent for Zermatt Villages LTD, is requesting a zone map amendment that would change the zoning of a property from Recreational Resort Zone (RZ) to R-1-22 zone (22,000 square feet minimum for a single-family dwelling). The property is 5.99 acres and is located at 875 Bigler Lane.

6. Midway City is proposing a code text amendment of the Midway City Land Use Code Section 16.22: Wireless Telecommunications. The proposed code will regulate installation, maintenance, operations and use of small wireless facilities and related improvements within the City.

Per Section 10.6.135.5 of the Utah State Code, notice is hereby given that the Heber City Council will hold two public hearings on Tuesday, June 18th at 6:00 p.m.

• The first will be to discuss an amendment to Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Operating Budget.

• The second will be to discuss unbilled services provided by the Water, Sewer and Utility Enterprise Funds to the Heber City General Fund. The estimated value of the services the General Fund receives is as follows: Water $42,700, Pressurized Irrigation $8,400, Sewer $2,700 and Utility $2,200. Interested citizens are invited to attend the hearing and express support or opposition to the proposed practice.

OPEN ELECTED OFFICES

Midway Sanitation District will elect two board members during the 2019 Municipal Election. The board members will serve a term of 4 years. Qualified individuals may complete a Declaration of Candidacy at the District Manager’s office at the Midway City Office Building, 75 North 100 West, Midway City, between 3 June 2019 and 7 June 2019. Office hours are weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications to be a candidate are:

1. Be a United States Citizen at time of filing

2. Be a registered voter

3. Be a resident of Midway Sanitation District or a resident of a recently annexed area for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election

4. In accordance with Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until their right to hold elective office is restored.

Currently holding the two board positions, open for election, are Clair Provost and Don Huggard.
