The 2018 season came to an end for the WHS ladies’ varsity volleyball team last week in the Utah state tournament which was played at UVU.

The Lady Wasps were paired against a very tough Box Elder squad in the first round and lost in three straight sets.

In the double-elimination format, Wasatch moved into the consolation bracket where they were matched up against Timpview.

Wasatch played a very competitive match dropping the first set by only two points. After losing the second set, the Wasps fought back to take the third set, keeping themselves alive.

Timpview was able to pull away in the fourth set, however, defeating the black and gold bringing its campaign to an end.

Wasatch finished the season 9-17 overall with five of its wins coming in region play. Region 8 rival, Skyridge went on to win the 5A crown.
