The Rodeo Team has started their Spring Season with great success, many of our members have placed in the top 10 for our first 2 weekends of rodeo.

Our first weekend we traveled to Ogden for the Spikers rodeo.

Baseball

Wasatch played a close game against Salem Hills in their first game last Tuesday. The Wasps came out strong and scoring 3 points, but Salem Hills were able to edge out the Wasps by one point. In the second game of the week, on Friday, Salem Hills had home advantage and came out hitting. The Skyhawks bats were on fire as the scored 10 points to Wasatch’s 2.

Soccer

Wasatch’s boys soccer team is dominating Region 8 competition. The Wasps have an undefeated 5-0-0 record in region and have racked up a combined 24 points in 5 games. Wasatch has blown out Spanish Fork 4 to 0; Uintah 4 to 0; Payson 6 to 0; Springville 8 to 0.

Along with big wins in region, the Wasps are currently ranked 5th in the 4A state rankings. Holding on to the number 1 spot is Skyridge with a 9-0-0 record. Number 2 i

Track

This past week, the track team traveled to Maple Mountain High School for a Quad Region 8 meet and then hosted their invitational on Saturday.

Team scores for the Region 8 quad-meet are as follows: Boys team: 1st Maple Mountain 198 pts, 2nd Wasatch 191 pts, 3rd Payson 92 pts, 4th Springville 81 pts. Girls team: 1st Maple Mounta

Softball

The Lady Wasps came out with bats on fire agains Springville last Thursday, April 13th, but couldn’t hold on defensively as Springville was able to put 13 points on the board. Wasatch is sitting 0 and 4 in Region 8 play as the young team has struggled both offensively and defensively. The Wasps overall recored is 7 and 7 on the season.

Water Polo

The WHS water polo teams traveled to Bountiful this past weekend to compete in a tournament hosted by Viewmont. On Friday, it had both boys and girls teams playing opponents that had an entire extra bench (or two) with reserve players. This made a difference in our players seeing more playing time and not getting a break. Friday night posted losses for both games for both teams. Coach Rob gave an enthuse
