A Timber Lakes cabin was a total loss last week in a fire on Wednesday. According to the Wasatch Co. Fire Dept., a resident noticed the fully engulfed cabin during the night and called it in. When fire personnel arrived on scene, the propane tank was also burning. The fire on the structure was quickly knocked down by attacking the fire from all four sides, as well as above with the ladder truck. Luckily, there was adequate water from the Timber Lakes hydrants to fight the fire. It did take several hours for the propane tank to burn off. Recent rains helped hold the fire to only that structure. Also, watchful neighbors are an asset to the area.
