Staff members at the Wave have been fortunately unfortunate in spending most of the past weekend at our local hospital.

Marge Fuellenbach, the 91-year-old grandmother of Wave owners Laurie Wynn and Kari McFee entered Heber Valley Medical Center on Friday afternoon with a heart condition.

A quick trip through the Emergency Room determined that more substantial care was needed, so Marge was admitted to the medical floor.

After spending three days receiving exemplary care from the Dr. Haderlie and the staff of the emergency department and medical floor, Marge passed away peacefully Monday morning.

The Wave would like to commend the HVMC staff for taking such good care of one very special woman. But not only did Marge’s needs get met, the caring staff went above and beyond to ensure the entire family wanted for nothing and was comfortable during this trying time.

From providing warm blankets to upset relatives; snacks to make sure we were taking care of ourselves; to compassion and understanding when it was Marge’s time to pass, this staff was amazing.

There are too many of you who were involved in Marge’s care to thank by name, but our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of you.

If you find yourself in need of a hospital in the near future, we highly recommend our own Heber Valley Medical Center.

We are so fortunate to have a facility of this caliber at our doorstep - and this week, the hospital adds to its repertoire a Dialysis Center that will serve patients who require kidney dialysis here on the Wasatch Back.

How fortunate we are to have quality health care within walking distance.
